Postcard From: St. Barths
Why St. Barths
St. Barths has all the sunny beaches and tasty cocktails you could want from the Caribbean, but brings another element to the islands. This French territory feels more like being at the Côte d’Azur. The vibe is splashy, the food is fabulous, and the evenings are lively.
Where To Stay
I recently visited ten properties on St. Barths and have to say that they are all so different, there really is something for everyone. Eden Rock is an icon in St. Jean Bay, welcomes celebrities, and has a fabulous beach. Another favorite was the Rosewood Le Guanahani on a more quiet part of the island with warm Caribbean vibes. For a fun group, I loved the five bedroom villa at Le Carl Gustaf. Our team will help select the right part of the island and property for your needs.
Things To Do
St. Barths is known for its upscale shopping brought by French influence. Enjoy lunch in the capital of Gustavia then wander through the local boutiques and art galleries. The ruins of Fort Karl overlook the city and date back from Swedish rule in the late 18th century. Grand Cul de Sac is a reef protected inlet perfect for water sports like windsurfing and paddle boarding. Finish up a weekend evening at Le T for a night of revelry.
