Rwanda is home to breathtaking landscapes and the rare opportunity to go gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes National Park, the first national park in Africa. The country is home to rich biodiversity including primates as well as the traditional Big 5. Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture, enjoy the warm hospitality of the locals, and learn about Rwanda’s inspiring progress and resilience.

Rwanda has an incredible offering of luxury properties throughout the country. There are a couple gems in Kigali that we like to use for clients who want to learn more about the genocide and the history. Near Volcanoes National Park, there are options at all different budget levels. I stayed at the lovely Singita Kwitonda Lodge and at One & Only Gorilla’s Nest. Both were spectacular but different, reach out to have us help pick the best spots for you.
Most people go to Rwanda for the Gorillas. If you have the time, I like to recommend at least two treks so that you can “meet” two different gorilla families. Outside of trekking, there is also opportunity to see other primates like Golden Monkeys and Chimpanzees. Spend the rest of your time enjoying a cooking class, a massage treatment, and enjoying the views from your private pool.
