November Roundup: 5 Unique Travel Experiences
When I decided to start the “monthly roundup” and post 5 unique travel experiences each month, I was a little worried I’d run out after a few months. But happily, I was wrong. I come across amazing new experiences literally every day. Here are five that I learned about this past month.
Charter a Boat to Explore the Tropical Islands of Myanmar
People are literally calling this Asia’s last untouched paradise. The Myeik Archipelago in the far south of the country with a collection of diverse, nearly untouched islands. Some of them don’t even have names. With the recent reopening of Myanmar itself, the islands are now open to visit as well. Catch a 5 day luxury charter (you can leave from Thailand!) with my partners at A&K to explore this remote part of the world.
Enjoy a Luxury Train Journey Through Scotland
Yup, this is still a thing! The company who’s train journeys inspired “Murder on the Orient Express” still operates all around the world. You can take a luxury journey through Scotland that includes scotch tastings, allows you to get fitted for a kilt, and has amazing food, guides, and experiences all built in.
Experience Iguazu Falls Like Never Before Possible
One of my favorite new South American lodge companies is Awasi – they have a GORGEOUS property on the Argentinian side of the falls. From this location you can explore the falls and the Atlantic rainforest which is home to thousands of endemic plants and animals. Each suite has it’s own private plunge pool and is assigned a guide and private vehicle to help you explore to the max. I probably don’t even need to mention it but the food and service are also spectacular. Check out this video to learn more!
Explore The American West Like a VIP
Finally! We can get some of the same bespoke, VIP services here in the US that we can get in Europe and Asia. We can create an itinerary that combines ultra-luxe accommodations like the Amangiri with exclusive experiences like dining with one of the last surviving Navajo Code Talkers, exploring a slot canyon all on your own, landing a helicopter on Tower Butte for a sundowner, or having a private picnic on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
Sail on a Brand-New Luxury Ship Halfway Around Antarctica
Yup, it’s finally here and able to be booked! The brand, spankin’ new National Geographic Endurance is one of the most beautiful ships I’ve ever seen and our friends at Linblad JUST released the most epic Antarctica journey I’ve also ever seen. 30 days from the tip of South America, down the Antarctic Peninsula, around the continent and to the southern tip of New Zealand. That is insane! Only a handful of people in history can say they’ve seen that much of Antarctica and now so can you.
If you’re looking for unique travel experiences, please reach out. I’m always excited to brainstorm with adventurous travelers.
